The Theory

Six years ago, I developed a theory about what all lasting “humanitarian” solutions have in common. Since then, I’ve been trying to disprove this theory, but I’ve been unsuccessful, so I decided it’s time to share it.

The three steps below are a quick overview, but if you’re ready for a deeper understanding, click that green button.

First

Diagnose + find the Powers

First, we must understand the myths and social currents perpetuating harm in a given situation. And we must do the work necessary to approach problems with humility.

Second

Assert Dignity

Asserting dignity requires a multi-pronged approach. Keeping this as a core principle, we ensure that individuals are equipped and empowered to stop harm in its tracks.

Third

Neutralize the Powers

There are four powers that include the myths and social currents that cause us to harm each other, harm ourselves, or stand by as others are hurt. We must neutralize them.
